Our Technology
Veritas Natura uses state of the art processes, super critical fluid extraction (SCFE) technology for the extraction of quality Oleoresins, Essential Oils, Flavours and Absolutes. SCFE uses carbon dioxide as the solvent and this presents two very distinct advantages. The extraction is carried out at near ambient temperature causing no degradation that can occur due to high temperatures involved in traditional process like steam distillation. Carbon dioxide is a non toxic gas and a selective solvent that can be completely removed by reducing the pressure. This is in sharp contrast to solvent extraction where there will always be some residual solvent left in the extract. The use of such solvents also contributes to some level of environmental contamination. SCFE is probably the most environment friendly and gentle extraction process.
